In the rare event that something has to be returned we allow 30 days from receipt
of the purchased item for the purchaser to contact us before returning. Where possible
new items will be replaced not repaired if faulty within 28 days. Items returned
which are not faulty or returned as not wanted/wrongly ordered will be charged a
20% restocking fee. Items must be returned in the condition as dispatched with all
original packing. Goods must be returned insured and carriage paid at the buyers
expense. Used items are not normally accepted for return except if faulty on delivery.
Consumables such as Styli, batteries etc will not be accepted for return
Bristol Sound Systems Ltd was started in 1955 by Mr Godfrey as Sound Service and
became a limited company in 1963. Mr Godfrey retired in 1988 when the company was
taken over by Brian & Jean (daughter of Mr Godfrey). As of January 2014 Brian & Jean
are taking a back seat and son Kevin is to run the company although we will still
It has always been a small family business which was set up for the supply of sound
equipment by sale, hire and permanent installation. We did however stop most of the
hire of equipment in December 2008.
Our aim was and still is to supply equipment which is of good quality to give good
service at a reasonable price. We also aim to give a good after sales service.
We have carried out installation in numerous churches from Brixham (Devon) to Harlech
London (Stockwell) and Port Talbot (South Wales).
We have also installed in many schools, factory and office buildings etc.
Amongst our customer base is Bristol City Council for whom we carry out maintenance
on systems throughout the city, South Gloucestershire Council, Health Authorities,
Schools, Highgrove House, Leisure centres in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North
Somerset and Wiltshire.
We are distributors for several Manufacturers which include
TOA, RCF, Skytronic (now known as AVSL) Adastra and others.
